I’m the person you’ll actually talk to.

I plan your trip, price it, and stay with it from your first email until the day you land back home. When something needs to change at 2 a.m. Uganda time, I’m the one making the call. There’s no account manager, no handoff, no queue.

I spent thirty years in the United States Army. Six of them as a combat flight medic, then twenty-four as a counterintelligence agent. I enlisted as a private and left as a Chief Warrant Officer 3.

That work shaped how I plan a safari more than any travel course could have. Two decades of intelligence work teaches you to plan backward from what can go wrong, to check the thing everyone assumes is fine, and to give people accurate information instead of comfortable information. A safari has a lot of moving parts — permits, charter flights, border crossings, lodges in places with no cell signal. Somebody should be thinking hard about all of it before you get on a plane. That’s my job.

My wife Tracy and I have been married thirty-one years and raised four children. In July 2025 we spent eleven days in Uganda and Kenya for our thirtieth anniversary. That trip is why this company exists — the full story is here.

I’m not a lifelong safari professional and I won’t pretend to be. What I am is someone who took the trip, saw how good it can be when it’s built properly, and partnered with the Ugandan operator who built it. Nicholas Bright and his team handle everything on the ground. I handle everything on this side.

What you get from me is straight answers. If a lodge isn’t worth the upgrade, I’ll say so. If the itinerary you want won’t fit in the days you have, I’ll tell you before you book, not after. If a flight between parks is worth the money, I’ll explain why — and if it isn’t, I’ll tell you to drive.
