Frequently Asked Questions

DO YOU HAVE ANY QUESTION?

  • GENERAL AFRICAN SAFARI FAQs

Every safari we book is 100% private. You will never be asked to share a vehicle with strangers. This means you have your own dedicated 4x4 Land Cruiser and your own private guide for the entire trip. You set the pace—if you want to spend an hour watching a lion pride or stop for photos, the schedule is yours to control.

Yes. This is the main advantage of booking with us. You make all payments to All in Africa Safaris USA LLC, a registered company in Utah. You pay via standard US bank transfer or credit card—no international wire transfers, no foreign transaction fees, and no navigating complex overseas banking systems. Your contract is governed by US law for your peace of mind.

We offer a "hybrid" model that gives you the best of both worlds. Booking directly with a local operator can be risky regarding financial security and legal recourse. Booking with a giant US travel agent often means high markups and generic advice. We give you the financial safety of a US company combined with the direct-to-ground pricing and expertise of our local Ugandan partner, Nicholas Bright.

Safety is our absolute priority. Led by Barton (a retired 30-year US Army Veteran), our team approaches travel safety with rigorous planning. We only operate in stable regions and constantly monitor local conditions. On the ground, you are in the care of professional, local guides who know the terrain and communities intimately. We would never send a client to an area we wouldn't take our own family."

Our African safari quotes are comprehensive. They typically include your private 4x4 transport, a professional English-speaking guide, all accommodation, most meals, park entrance fees, and activity permits (like Gorilla trekking permits). The only things usually not included are your international flights, visas, travel insurance, tips, and personal drinks/souvenirs. We believe in total transparency—no hidden fees.

  • OTHER QUESTIONS

Absolutely. As parents of four ourselves, we know how to plan a trip that works for different ages. For younger children, we can tailor itineraries with shorter drive times and lodges with pools. For teenagers, we can include active adventures like white-water rafting or hiking. Note: Gorilla trekking has a minimum age requirement of 15, but there are plenty of other activities for younger kids.

We use customized 4x4 Toyota Land Cruisers specifically built for the rough African terrain. They feature pop-up roofs for 360-degree game viewing and photography, window seats for every passenger, and onboard charging stations for your cameras and phones. They are mechanically maintained to the highest standard by our team in Kampala.

Yes. US citizens need a visa for Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, and Tanzania. These can easily be obtained online (e-Visa) before you travel. Regarding health, Yellow Fever vaccination is mandatory for entry into Uganda and Rwanda. We strongly recommend visiting a travel clinic in the US a few months before your trip to get up-to-date advice on malaria prophylaxis and other recommended shots.

We personally vet the lodges we use. We categorize them into Budget, Mid-Range, and Luxury. Even our budget options are clean, safe, and self-contained (private bathrooms). Mid-range and Luxury options often include stunning views, high-end dining, and unique architecture. We will work with you to choose the level of comfort that fits your budget.
