Day 1: Transfer from Kigali to Bwindi
Meeting up with your safari guide at Kigali International Airport will mark the beginning of your safari. Before traveling to Uganda, you can opt to enjoy a simple Kigali city tour if time allows, you will visit some of the historical sites in Rwanda Including the genocide memorial center which showcases photos of thousands of people who lost their lives during the brutal murder/Massacre of the Rwanda people. Other places include; Inema Arts Centers, Kings Palace Museum among others.
After exploring Kigali, you’ll take a 4-hour journey to Bwindi via Katuna border, then connect to Ruhija, Bwindi. This excursion will allow you to experience the lovely countryside and scenery of Rwanda and Uganda. Driving through Rwanda’s rolling hills and plantations, you will connect to Uganda’s deep green forest around the Bwindi region.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking and departure.(gorilla trek from Kigali)
After your early morning breakfast check out the lodge. Leaving with packed lunch, your guide will pick you up and transport you to the park headquarters, where you will be informed and given information on tracking gorillas in Bwindi.
You will be allocated to one gorilla family among the 15 habituated ones within the park. Gorilla trekking can last anything from 30 minutes to 6 hours, depending on the location of your allocated gorilla family.
Spending only one hour with the mountain gorillas, snap as many shots as you can and attempt to obey the advice of the wardens. Receive your certificate at the end of the trekking, re-unit with your guide and embark on your departure drive to either Kigali or Entebbe hence bringing your 2 Days Bwindi gorilla trek from Kigali to end.
